TEXTBOOK POLICIES

NEW TEXTBOOK RETURN POLICY

New textbooks can be returned within 2 weeks of class start date under the following conditions:

1. They are in the same condition they were purchased in.
2. All new textbooks are sold wrapped. They must be returned in their original wrapped condition.
3. You must have your original receipt.

USED TEXTBOOK RETURN POLICY

Used textbooks can be returned within 5 days of class start date under the following conditions:

1. They are in the same condition they were purchased in.
2. You must have your original receipt.

RENTAL TEXTBOOK RETURN POLICY

New Rental textbooks may be returned for a full refund within 2 weeks and used rental textbooks within 5 days of class start date under the following conditions:

1. The book is in the same condition that it was rented in.
2. New rental books are wrapped. If un-wrapped a Drop/Add slip must be presented for a full refund.
3. You must have your original receipt.

TEXTBOOK RENTAL POLICY

As a currently enrolled student at Rose-Hulman if you have chosen to enter into an agreement with the Rose-Hulman Bookstore to rent a copy of the textbook required for your class(es). This rental agreement is for the current quarter only.

1. You agree to return the books in clean, lightly marked and fully re-saleable condition (limited writing, highlighting and/or notes etc.) on or before the rental due date stated on your register receipt.
2. You agree to allow Rose-Hulman Bookstore to charge your credit card or student account the amount of a new replacement book, less the rental amount already paid, if the rental books are not returned by the due date stated, or if the books are damaged and/or deemed unusable by the bookstore staff.
3. Current student ID is required at time of rental and when retuning the book.
4. By signing the agreement, you will authorize Rose-Hulman Bookstore and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology to use my federal Title IV financial aid (Pell Grant, SEOG, Stafford loans, and Plus loans) to pay current and previous fees for the non-return rental books if needed or to charge the securing credit card you provided at the time of the rental.
